Wonder how efficient shipping costs for each tech is? This SSRS output tracks how much you’re spending on shipping charges by tech and provides them an allowance based on their quantity of calls completed.
1 Day Qty – total quantity of items ordered under 1-day shipping (this is not total number of line items on PO, rather it is total quantity of items on PO)
2 Day Qty – total quantity of items ordered under 2-day shipping (this is not total number of line items on PO, rather it is total quantity of items on PO)
Ground Qty – total quantity of items ordered under ground shipping (this is not total number of line items on PO, rather it is total quantity of items on PO)
Shipping Charged – each quantity for each shipping type (1-day, 2-day, ground) is assigned a dollar expense based on mulitplier of ground shipping
Calls – totals calls for period (includes incomplete calls)
Shipping Allowance – each call is allowed $5.00 (formula is total calls * $5.00)

Other related alert: ID715 – Ever had a tech ask for a part to be shipped overnight and then not pick it up or install it for a week? You want to make certain that if your techs are ordering parts for a call that they are getting back to those calls and getting the parts installed quickly, especially if they have ordered parts using overnight shipping methods. Daily review of parts received that had designated ship methods within PO (you must specify the Ship Methods you want to monitor, trying to monitor all shipments would flood you with data, use ID57 if you want to see all incoming parts linked to PO). Alert will show detail of parts received that are linked to a service call which has not been worked/completed within VarY days of receipt of part. The logic of the alert assumes that each tech is linked to his/her own warehouse, or not at all, and that you have no more than one tech linked to each warehouse. The alert will not ‘ding’ a tech for not acting if someone hasn’t transferred the part to his/her warehouse yet.
